WHY I BECAME A WELLBEING COACH

If you would ask me where my passion for health and wellbeing comes from, I would probably tell you about my childhood – because this is where it all began. My mum has been always a healthy person, taking care of herself and paying attention to her diet. My dad has been a sporty person since ever. I basically grew up like that.

However, during my career I learned that even though I was a healthy person, the challenges I was confronted with during my work still did not prevent me to have a burnout and chronic physical issues. Being committed to my work made me end up in a vicious cycle of stress – without me noticing it.

At this point I realized that something had to change – that I had to find balance between the daily challenges and my wellbeing.

I invested in yoga and mindfulness programs and made my physical and mental wellbeing a commitment and a lifestyle
choice. I learned how to take care of myself and how to develop a routine that is aligned with my career goals.

I experienced an enormous change in my health. I felt more productive and motivated and I had more energy for my hobbies and friends.

Many of my ex-colleagues were caught up in the same cycle of stress and did not know what to do about it. And I still see many professionals every day who are sharing the same struggles.

This is why I attended teacher trainings in order to show those – who are where I was – how to win back their control over their wellbeing. That is the reason I became a wellbeing coach and got certified as a yoga teacher, instructor in mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) techniques, and as a breath coach. I have been working with professionals from different countries applying exactly those methods – online and in-house. An increased relaxation, lower stress levels, improvement of posture, or less physical pain coming from long sitting hours … are just a few examples for the visible changes they have all experienced. Contributing to the wellbeing and health of others had become my inner motivation and I am here to show business professionals that it is possible for them to see visible changes, too.
